Celebrate Olderperson Day Early Announcement

International Older persons Day will be celebrated this year on September 22, 2012 from 2-4 PM at the Riverview Lions Club.

Sound System will be provided by Bob Lee, sponsored by Petro Canada Point Park-Brian LeBlanc.
Entertainment will be provided by Ivan Hicks and the Sussex Avenue Fiddlers.

February 7th meeting Seniors Roundtable

Elected officers  for 2012 are; Cecile Cassista, Chair, Evelyn Forsythe,Treasurer, Kelly Bastrache, Secretary, behind Councillor Seamans, Lorie Snider, Vice Chair - second row Eleanor Beck, Councillor  Ann Seamans, Don Kennedy last row, John Melanson, and Janet Metzler.

At today's meeting the committee focus on  the seniors registry  of Nova Scotia and Fredericton concept.

The committee also dealt with some of the logistics of the Older-persons celebration  for this year. The event will be held on September 29th,  the committee is looking at holding the event in a bigger venue. The Sound system has been booked and again this year hoping to have Ivan & Vivian Hicks and the Sussex Avenue Fiddlers for entertainment.
